CLOSED - 3103 - Systems Engineer

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to become a member of their Deployment Team who will support multiple teams across the customer’s program in an Agile team environment. The team deploys custom, GOTS and COTS software and supports our internal and external customers by assisting with questions and troubleshooting.

The candidate will work effectively within a team and across multiple engineering functions (Development, Security, Systems Engineering, DevOps) to provide our customers with a secure system and new capabilities, and is expected to collaborate cross-functionally with government personnel, subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience;  or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.Considered career, or journey, level.Prior system administration experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications:

           1. Red Hat Enterprise Linux

           2. Windows Server

           3. Amazon Web Services

Experience and familiarity with one or more of the following:

           1. COTS & GOTS software installation, updates, and maintenance

           2. Linux shell scripting

           3. Linux command line proficiency

Experience with AWS EC2 instances, RDS, and S3Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions, bridging both sustainment and enhancement prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 2 years of geospatial domain experienceSystem administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server, AWSExperience managing and working with AWS S3, and EFS file systemsExperience with AWS auto scaling groups and CloudFormationExperience troubleshooting and working with MySQL or PostgreSQLAdministration, operations, and maintenance of enterprise cloud systemsAdministration, operations, and maintenance of non-cloud virtual environmentsExperience applying and implementing operating system patches and upgradesExperience with GVS Map of the WorldFamiliarity with RMF, NIST 800-53 controls, STIGsExperience with geospatial visualization tools such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcEarth, and/or Google EarthExperience working within SAFe or other Agile Release TrainsSecurity+ or equivalent IAT Level II DoD approved 8570 baseline certificationsA TS/SCI clearance, with a final TS is desired, but not a requirement to start.
