Department Summary:

MITRE’s Enterprise Business Systems and Operations Division (EBSOD) focuses on delivering and supporting systems and processes to enable our leaders and employees to deliver impact, make data driven business decisions, and find opportunities. The EBSOD development team is seeking a Cloud and Integrations Data Developer with experience and skills across multiple coding languages, Agile development, and cloud experience such as Jira, AWS, python, etc. (i.e., tool agnostic) to create and manage on prem and cloud code deployments. Ultimately, you will enhance our custom code and AWS approach across the enterprise systems of EBSOD and MITRE.

Job Description:

We are in search of a Cloud and Integrations Data Developer, skilled in multiple development tools to support the development and administration of MITRE's custom applications and growing enterprise cloud environment in AWS. As a member of our team, you’ll build and apply hands-on expertise across key code bases and the full AWS ecosystem. It's our goal to establish and maintain the technical foundation across the three departments in EBSOD (platforms, data integrations and solutions) upon which projects can work securely on prem or. in the cloud, empowering users to be self-sufficient and agile while minimizing risk to MITRE and remaining in compliance with InfoSec policy.

In this role, you will be working in a hands-on capacity with each of the three department developer teams to cultivate a cross organizational understanding of key systems, software architectures and influence the migration into the cloud data warehouse.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Learn, manage and design/build new features of key MITRE systems such as TRS, MiHub, Cloud Data Warehouse  Collaborate closely with development teams across each EBSOD department and corporate departments such as ECIS and HRITWork closely with developers and business analysts to test, clean, and standardize data to meet the business requirements.Hands on interaction with scrum masters, release train engineersDevelop / maintain code for functionality, integrations, and data interactions on prem and cloud develop SQL queries.Have the confidence and expertise to work cross-functionally with various departments including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas, solve problems, and develop innovative solutions.Must have excellent verbal communications skills and written/documentation skills to maintain workflows, develop functional and technical designs, and document dashboard functionality.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Experience in agile development methodologies.Experience in cloud, integrations, or development experience in Agile cloud/sw space (can be concurrent or overlap with agile) demonstrable with evidence of using a combination of sw tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, function code, or white boarding to illustrate product usability.Experience working with large and complex data set able to write queries and calculations.Experience in SQL, data modeling, developing data sets, automated pipelines (ETL), creating capabilities in AWS, Azure or similar platforms.Experience designing software and cloud architectures in the context of an IT enterprise.This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a support or development team environment by documenting, researching, solving problems via office collaboration suite, phone calls or email ticketing system.Experience working directly with requirements owners, software developers, business analysts or business sponsors to gather and validate functional requirements and provide the design specifications.Excellent oral, written, and listening skills.Ability to work on multiple projects and flexibility to change priorities when needed.Experience working in or with a Finance organization or a Finance degree.Experience working with data from the following systems is a plus: MuleSoft, Redshift, Glue, Costpoint, Workday, OneStream, Salesforce, Cognos Analytics, Alteryx, Clarity, Certinia, etc.
