HOW A CLOUD DEVELOPER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Supports the Special Warfare community across multiple Technology Integration & Support Cooperative (TISC) lines of effort, with a primary focus on the Joint Operational Support Cloud Environment (JOSCE), delivering warfighting information technology capabilities to Special Operation Forces worldwide.  Serves as key technical expert who provides technical expertise in designing, architecting, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions. Provides strategic consulting to internal and external clients of cloud's current capabilities and provides future direction on all cloud products and services.

In this role you will:

Work with a group of amazing people, collaborating on complex problems with a commitment to customer success

Perform deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects

Ensure solutions and activities delivered are aligned with the strategy and vision of the organization

Design and implement System of Systems (SoS) architectures for complex environments

Created clear and concise technical documentation and system guides

Lead automation/deployment of elastic, highly available, scalable, and fault tolerant systems in a commercial cloud environment

When needed, migrate legacy on-premises services leveraging established and well-accepted design patterns while developing new solutions using automation tools and adhering to Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps development and implementation best practices

Provide continuous integration, operations, maintenance, support, training services and applicable baseline analysis for TISC lines of effort, to include unclassified and classified environments, enabling Special Operations Forces missions around the world

Commit to staying abreast of emerging technologies and evolving customer requirements, goals, and objectives

Engage with stakeholders and supporting teams to ensure customer expectations, satisfaction, risks, and cost are managed

Work to enhance team effectiveness, fostering a culture of unparalleled technical acumen to achieve maximum effectiveness in delivering services and solutions in accordance with customer and end-user requirements

Advocate for and articulate Development, Integration, Testing, and product sustainment activities, contributing to processes and outcomes that enhance productivity

Adhere to Development and Engineering standards, policies, protocols, procedures, and industry best practices  

Participate in system design discussions for Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects

Participate in strategic engagements and events, as required

Brief stakeholders on planned and active projects and activities


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

Bachelor of Science degree in an IT field, or equivalent experience, PLUS

10+ years of related experience WITH 5 years of that experience implementing/sustaining enterprise-level solutions in a production cloud environment

​Required IT Certifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Current 8140 IA IAM_II certification (minimum Sec+CE)

Required Technical Skills:

Working knowledge and ability to administer and develop using many IT technologies is crucial for success, examples include:

Firewalls:  Forcepoint, Apache Tomcat

AWS Cloud Computing Technologies/Services/Techniques: Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Formation Scripts, Ansible Playbooks, Command Line Interface, Containerization (Docker), Postfix, Bind

Scripting: Jenkins, Bash

Skilled in command-line interfaces: PowerShell and Unix/Linux

Identity Access Management/Active Directory:  KeyCloak, Windows Active Directory, Red Hat Single Sign On, Public Key Infrastructure, certificates

Operating Systems:  Linux, Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Requires a highly experienced and working knowledge of Cloud-based IaaS technologies and service delivery models

Strong working knowledge of AWS architecture and services.

Strong knowledge of Information Technology Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing processes

Strong understanding of DoD Cyber Security standards including STIGs, SCAP and RMF

Excellent communication skills, to include strong technical writing and verbal presentation skills.

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Architecture, AWS Cloud Computing, Cloud Computing, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Security Clearance Level:

Must have a current SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility

The likely salary range for this position is $165,750 - $224,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
