This will be a Home Care CNA role in the northern part of the 13 counties we service in west Michigan. (Mason, Oceana, Lake, Newaygo)

Job Summary

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.

Essential Functions

Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.

Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.

Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.

Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.

Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course

CRT-Nursing Assistant - Upon Hire

LIC-Driver's License - State of Michigan Upon Hire

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association United/Kelsey, Big Rapids, Reed City, Gerber & Continuing Care within 90 Days Or

CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross United/Kelsey, Big Rapids, Reed City, Gerber & Continuing Care within 90 Days
