SUMMARY

Responsible for performing inpatient record reviews to validate appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnosis and procedure codes and DRG assignments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related field.

Credentialed in hospital coding.

Five years' experience in inpatient and outpatient facility coding.

Expertise in both inpatient and outpatient coding.
