This position is within Kinder Morgan’s Midstream group, reporting to the Manager – Commercial Scheduling. This individual is the main point of contact for customer inquiries, analyzing and resolving issues regarding daily scheduling activities for assets on various Kinder Morgan Midstream natural gas pipelines. These activities include nominations, confirmations, scheduling, allocations, and imbalance management. This candidate should understand upstream and downstream departmental relations, as well as work closely with operations, commercial, gas control, accounting, contracts, etc.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate with internal and external customers, operations, marketing, gas control on daily scheduled activitiesEstablish and maintain positive relationships with producers, marketers, pipelines, shippers and various internal business ownersAssisting customers in nomination process (request for service) and using IDART.Nominating on 3rd Party EBBs (our Marketing Activity as well as our transport activity on other pipes).Setting PDAs.Participating in the on-call rotation and ability to work weekend, evening, or holiday shifts when scheduledAbility to be available when pipeline emergencies require attention with a possibility of relocating during storm or other event.Responding accurately and timely to customer inquiries concerning operations and or contract requirementsReviewing and monitoring customer contractual rights as defined by the contractManaging daily transportation logistics and schedulesDaily confirmations with point operators.Reviewing and monitoring point flows.Processing allocations of physical flow, clearing all errors in Dart and verify proper allocations.Ability to comprehend financial impact of the scheduling responsibilities.Reconciliation and resolution of imbalances on Operational Balancing Agreements and Transportation Agreements and other Contractual imbalances all on a daily and monthly basis.Analyze and fully understand complex change requests and resolve competing prioritiesAbility to comprehend the entire workflow from contract creation to invoicingCompleting end of the month closing responsibilitiesFollowing through to appropriate areas within the company concerning issues relating to all the aboveSpecial projects and other daily, weekly, or monthly assignments as require

Position Requirements

Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree or Minimum 5 years relative gas industry experiencePrevious experience in a customer service position where complex concepts are conveyed using various communication tools within a limited time-frameAbility to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload in fast paced and frequently changing environmentAbility to balance competing priorities while working in tight and changing deadlinesMust possess strong organizational and time management skillsMust be detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.Working in a team environment as well as working autonomously with limited direct supervisionProficient knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. and the ability to learn new technology, such as (but not limited to) Power BI and Robotic Process Automation toolsExperience with the DART system or equivalent transactional data systems is a plus
