Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree or Certificate in Eligibility for Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist or Experience in Lieu of Education CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License upon hire and Proof of Auto Insurance upon hire. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Community development, organization or outreach experience required, prefer work in non profit or substance abuse treatment OrLife experiences and recovery experiences allows person to provide recovery support in such way that others can benefit from their experiences. Or SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Experience in working with program development, community engagement or outreach, or with those seeking or in recovery Essential Functions: + Assist with the planning and implementation of grant programs under the direction of the Director with input from the Principal Investigator, associated researchers and other central administrators + Collaborate with the team to develop new partnerships and strengthen existing partnerships between Carle Health and local, regional and state organizations + Engage community stakeholders and build coaltions throughout central Illinois + Support development of community prevention/education programming with local leadership + Develop and sustain relationships with community leaders, local groups and organizations and local authorities + Works as part of a team to support and sustain community led action around substance use and treatment resources + Participate and facilitate community meetings as directed + Travel to various locations within the site plan area for meetings, outreach and other grant related activities + Present grant program materials to a variety of constiuents including institution wide, regional collaborations and national meetings as needed + Serve as liasion between RLC leadership and community groups + Develop, organize and attend Addiction Recovery department's participation in community events + Work as part of RLC team to design and deliver innovative community outreach and engagement activities in identified service area We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
