Conceptual Design Electrical Engineer Wilsonville, AL System One is currently seeking a Conceptual Design Electrical Engineer on a 4 month contract position located in Wilsonville, AL. Conceptual Design Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing and overseeing electrical power system design including scope documents, schedules, budgets, estimates, single line diagrams, elementary, and wiring diagram, layout and circuitry design + Providing technical direction of other engineers, designers, and drafters + Assist in checkout and startup of systems when necessary + Communicate with outside vendors and establish relationships beneficial to overall project success + This position allows significant discretion to make independent decisions with some consultation with management Conceptual Design Electrical Engineer Requirements: + Knowledge of engineering design principles (preferably power plant electrical system design) + Experience providing technical direction in preparation of design details, drawings, and calculations + Experience scheduling and coordinating projects to meet cost and schedule objectives + Experience using AutoCAD and CAD Overlay would be a plus + The individual should be a self-starter having a high level of initiative and be able to effectively plan, organize, and execute their work. + The individual should be able to handle design on large projects in fossil, hydro, combined cycle and renewable generating plants with limited supervision and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors. + Level 1- 0 to 5 Years Experience in related field, Level 2- 5 to 10 Years Experience in related field + An accredited Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering. + A Professional Engineer license or advanced engineering degree is a plus.
