JOB DESCRIPTION

Construction EHS Specialist is based in Chicago and will provide administrative, programmatic, and procedural EHS support to the Invenergy Construction EHS team members and construction projects, to include document control, training systems/program, contractor prequalification tracking, incident tracking and analysis, safety consultant recruiting, and EHS regulatory research.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Have basic knowledge of construction EHS practices and processesBe responsible for document control for construction EHS documentsAssist Director Construction EHS in developing content for applicable training;Provide safety training for project management teams;Coordinate the development of online construction EHS training programsStay current and up to date with construction safety regulations, industry developments or trends that would affect the construction EHSWork closely with Construction EHS team to develop new programs and delivery methods around safety continuous improvementAssist with managing needs from third party vendors in EHS. (e.g., Gearcor, ISN, insurance)Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams; andConduct other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in EHS or similar disciplineMinimum of 3 years experience in construction EHSCHST designation preferredPreferable experience working in renewable energy industryAbility to Travel up to 25% of the time domesticallySuperior written and verbal communicationProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerpointExperience developing and presenting training programsAbility to adapt to challenging work environment in a constantly changing industryAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent in problem solving, organization, interpersonal, and motivational skills
