Responsibilities Responsible for budget monitoring, construction quality and safety on the project sitePrepares monthly contract status reports, budget reviews, amendment requests and negotiationsInvolved on team that prepares proposals and conducts interviewsPrepares and negotiates contracts under the supervision of the senior construction managerResponsible for working as a team with the contractor, client, field team and designerReport writingResponsible for preparation of meeting agendas and portions of proposalsMentors and trains entry level construction/field engineers Qualifications 12 to 16 years experience including a lead role in $10 million or greater water/wastewater projectCompletion of OSHA 10-hour safety course and other construction safety trainingThorough understanding of construction management processes and in-depth financial understanding of construction managementAbility to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and lead engineer/project team, and deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraintsHighly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and be extremely organizedWorking knowledge of construction management software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft ProjectWorking knowledge and understanding of construction methods, standards, specifications and plans is a plusStrong oral and written communications skillsStrong computer and internet skillsProficient in MS Word and ExcelProficient in Primavera Scheduling Software Earthwork experience Florida Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Florida General Contractor (GC) License
Preferred Qualifications Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related programProficient in Document Management Systems (i.e. Procore, Bentley PW/EADoc, etc.)OSHA 30-hour safety courseCertified Construction Manager or ability to obtain certification
