Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Control Systems Section Manager, we'll count on you to:

Take responsibility for operations of control systems section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing supportFunction as a control systems design lead and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilitiesTake administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sectionsBe involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviewsSee that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management systemImplement, monitor and support company policySelect, train, develop and manage technical personnelWork cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production effortsCoordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional controls design and systems integration workWrite and edit control systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fieldA minimum of 10 years applicable experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong communication and listening skillsAbility to handle multiple assignmentsGood leadership and organizational skillsExperience designing and managing control systems projectsProficiency with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications

Previous work experience with an AE/Consulting Engineering firm.Preference given to local candidates.
