Bonney Staffing has partnered with a company in Westbrook, ME who is New England’s oldest manufacturer of sauces, condiments, dressings and dessert sauces. Today, they still produce in small batches with the care of handcrafting to bring out the most vibrant flavors. They have earned and maintained a reputation for quality, local products and great service, and are looking for team players to be a part of it all! 

The Cook Assistant job in Westbrook, Maine is responsible for preparing large volume batches of food product, following safety protocols, maintaining product integrity, mixing ingredients to achieve standard production quality, and following recipe batch cards to ensure finished product meets specifications and quality. You will also detect variations in materials and finished products, maintain cleanliness, and dispose of waste appropriately. This full-time, first shift position requires attention to detail and the ability to work safely.

Cook Assistant Qualifications: 

High school diploma and/or GED equivalent is required.

Industry experience is preferred.

 Must be able to perform mathematical conversions from metric to standard.

Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

 Must have demonstrated dependability, work ethic and flexibility.

 Must have good interpersonal communication skills.

 Must be fluent in English (reading and writing).

 Must cooperate with and support other team members.

 Normally standing/walking with freedom of movement on a regular basis.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (10 hours or more).

Frequently lifting 60 lbs. 60+ lbs. require lift with a partner. Frequently lifting from floor to shoulder height.

Frequent physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and stooping.

Cook Assistant Details: 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m (or until work is finished)

Pay: $18/Hr. to $19/Hr.
