Job Description:

   

Come join the dynamic and fast-paced world of the Corporate, Securities, and M&A group within HPE's Legal Department! In this role, you will be responsible for managing internal processes to complete complex projects that are highly visible to numerous internal and external stakeholders, including HPE's own shareholders. The responsibilities of this role require keen attention to detail, organization, and communicativeness. In this position, you will also be expected to regularly interact with senior management and HPE's Board of Directors on a variety of legal and operational matters, and will perform a pivotal function in making our board meetings come to life!

Responsibilities:

Prepares and drafts a variety of legal documents.Provides support for corporate legal filings and reports for US subsidiary entities.Coordinates data and document collection, prepares responses to third parties and engages in other tasks of high complexity.Assists attorneys with moderately complex legal matters.Coordinates vendor agreements, filings and other tasks with outside counsel.Advise Administrative Assistants on record retention needs and efforts.Responsible for carrying out US subsidiary entities’ state reporting obligations and managing corporate formalities/governance functions of those entitiesPerform a supporting (and eventually a leading) role in coordinating operational logistics for in-person meetings of the Board of DirectorsMaintains and organizes corporate books and records (both digital and physical)

Education and Experience Required:

University Degree preferred3+ years of previous experience as a corporate paralegalRelevant paralegal certificate preferred.Corporate governance and entity management experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Good working knowledge of the company's businesses and products.Good paralegal knowledge.Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with executives.Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.Developed ability to analyze facts and issues.Developed knowledge of various state and federal legal requirements.Developed ability to access and utilize internal databases.Intermediate document management skills.General computer proficiency with Microsoft office applications.

Impact/Scope:

Direct influence on internal and external contacts.Frequent interactions with management and Board of Directors.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $66,500.00 - $152,500.00
