Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Metallurgical Technician to join the team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Metallurgical Laboratory Supervisor, the Metallurgical Technician is responsible for the following:

Perform routine sampling, metallurgical lab test work, and data entry/analysis. Lab tests include, but are not limited to, cyanide leach tests, carbon quality control testing, core density tests, plant sampling, solution analysis, sample preparation, particle size analysis, and plant inventory sampling Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Two (2) years’ experience in a metallurgical lab preferred Proven safety record and ability to support work group in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals required Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at knee height required Ability to read and interpret work orders required Ability to work in a team orientated environment with others required Ability to perform the essential functions of this position required Effective oral and written communication skills required Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word required Proficiency with LabWare Lab Information Management System (LIMS) preferred            Basic mechanical aptitude preferred Ability to perform the essential functions of this position required Drivers License preferred

The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018.
