Job Description:

GDIT is actively seeking a Curriculum Development Lead to support training and educational programs for Fleet sailors in support of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Training Facility Pacific (LTFPAC).

Develops; organizes; and reviews Fleet training including Combat Systems, Operations, Deck training, and educational programs for personnel assigned to Littoral Combat Ships (LCS).  When required, the candidate would provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for LCS courses.

Use of NETC Course Development and Revision End-to-End Process.  Use of curriculum development software including Content Planning Module (CPM) / Learning Object Module (LOM).

Assist in the facilitation of Subject Matter Expert (SME) Workshops conducted for the purpose of identifying and validating job duties and tasks as well as identifying task attributes essential for developing learning objectives and curriculum.

Assist with developing a Training Situation Analysis; Training Systems Analysis; and/or Front-End Analysis in order to maintain a life-cycle process comparing Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) data to existing Course Training Task Lists (CTTL) and learning objectives to identify training gaps or deficiencies.

Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training expectations.  Conducts analysis of training and instructional media requirements.

Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and assists designing instructionally valid training materials.

Ensures integrity of task analysis; training requirements; training hierarchies; instructional materials; and evaluation plans.

Interacts with customer and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.

Maintains records of instructor training using both conventional techniques (i.e., record-keeping) and management software (i.e., Training System Scheduler (TSS)).

Active Secret Security Clearance.

Education:

Associates/Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.

Five (5) years of experience developing group-paced instructional materials for Surface Combat Systems in accordance with Navy curriculum development standards and guidelines, advising Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on development procedures and formatting and evaluating curricula documents and instructional delivery procedures established training methods, techniques and tools in order to develop and maintain training courses and materials, and evaluating training programs.  Of the five years, three (3) years of experience in Navy curriculum development software such as Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM), Content Planning Module (CPM) / Learning Object Module (LOM).

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
