Database Administrator

Location: Pala, CA

The Database Administrator will ensure all SQL, Oracle, and other databases in the Casino are adequately supported, maintained and all associated systems run smoothly.  Responsibilities also include supporting the System Administrator(s) efforts in the design, development and administration of all system applications utilizing databases including assistance in administration of SQL server in standalone and clustered server environments and associated software and systems.  The DBA will be a key player in our enterprise-wide rollout of SQL server versions in a mixed Windows Server environment.  Requires solid Windows SQL development and administration experience.  Strong experience with database security is required as well as database maintenance and optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

4 years of Microsoft SQL Server experience with SQL Server administration experience required. Experience in a 24x7x365 environment strongly desired. MSCDBA or equivalent experience strongly desired. 4 years of Microsoft Access or equivalent experience desired. Hands-on experience with Windows Standard/Enterprise Server versions. Hands-on experience with Windows Active Directory Services. 3+ years in development of SQL database experience preferred. Database Administrator must have significant prior experience with creating/editing stored procedures. The Database Administrator should have a working knowledge of Microsoft IIS and network administration disciplines. Experience and expertise with database and performance monitoring, redundant solutions, problem diagnosis, desktop management, and remote administration. Experience and demonstrated expertise with database administration in a Windows Server mixed environment. Experience with performing database upgrades and safely/securely applying database patches. Experience with database backups and restores required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
