Reports To: Deli Manager
Deli Clerks have the opportunity to improve the breakfast, lunch and dinner tables of our guests by providing a wide variety of delicious meal options.
Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides excellent services to all guestsCashier guests' items as neededAssists guests with locating items on or off the sales floorOccasionally may demo Signature Items, Stock-Ups, Surprise Buys, Salads, Spreads, Cheese, Dips, etc.Assists Hot Bar associates with replenishing items and ensuring that a high standard of quality meal choices are provided at all times Addresses guest concerns and resolves issues by practicing the boomerang principalMaintain food safety logsEnsures all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pmOther duties as assignedRegular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnelExcellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced environmentRequires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: knives, baler, trash compactor, burner, and shamsAbility to encourage guests in a sincere way to try a sample of one of our productsAbility to understand cooking instructions and communicate to guests
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularlyLifting up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
WORK SCHEDULE
The Deli Cashier position is a part-time, hourly position
The shift to be worked will be 10am-6pm, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
