Summary/Objective Work in a team environment to develop products from concept stage to production-ready on both the component and system levels. Support existing production products through VAVE and Continuous Improvement efforts through cost analysis, design proposals and reviews, assisting quoting from a technical standpoint, and supporting production during roll-in Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. SolidWorks modeling, drawing, and simulation Detail component and assembly designs/models and create engineering prints. Write design validation plans and testing procedures. Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application. Design products or systems such as mechanical drive systems and steel fabrications Assists engineering personnel in specifying equipment and develop methods and procedures for testing products or systems. Designs and modifies products and systems to fit application. Conceptual development of products Perform analysis on designs to examine their effectiveness. Work with customers to understand needs and issues. Help create project schedule and adhere to timelines. Track time associated with specific tasks. Assist in writing technical documents including test reports, product specifications, manuals, etc. Track and communicate design changes through print revision control. Assist manufacturing assembly areas through first runs of products. Provide instruction and technical support for LCI production and customers. Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications. Competencies Analyzing Information Confidentiality Quality Focus Results Driven Time Management. Organizational Skills. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salaried position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work could also become necessary. Travel: Travel would be very minimal, if any, and would be primarily local during the business day. . Required Education and Experience: High school diploma and/or related associate degree in engineering or specific discipline and two years’ experience; or Four years related experience and/or training specialized in drafting, design, and engineering practices; or Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Preferred Education and Experience Manufacturing/industry experience. Experience working with multiple discipline projects. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Mastercam, Top Solid, Leuctra 2/3D, and Solid works Organizational skills, communication proficiency, initiative, thoroughness, and time management Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to pass E Verify.
