DevOps Engineer – Intermediate – TS/SCI required

HOW A DEVOPS ENGINEER – INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

A DevOps engineer introduces processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment, to maintenance and updates.Utilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environmentEnsures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processesMitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projectsReviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test resultsDemonstrates advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniquesPossesses knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipmentRequires a proficiency in the use of one or more web technologies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Associate’s Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 7 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, engineering, or related discipline) with 5 years of experienceRequired Skillset:Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development and designProficiency in the use of one or more web technologies such as XAML (Silverlight, WPF), .NET Framework, SQL, VB.net, JavaScript, Shell, HTML, PHP, etc. is highly desirableFamiliar with Agile-Scrum methodology and practicesClearance Level: TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentDesired Computing Environment Certification for Candidates to be considered:CIW Web Developer, JavaScript, Certified Web Developer, CSS3, or Microsoft Exam 70-480 (Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3)MCSA certification in either Web Applications or Universal Windows Platform.Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer​Location: On Customer SiteAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $115,965 - $156,893. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
