Salary Range: $25.50 per hour

 

The Diesel Mechanic will diagnose, adjust, repair and maintain a fleet of Isuzu NPR diesel trucks, cargo vans, Tugs, and Luggage Carts. 

 

You will...

The Diesel Mechanic should be able to demonstrate proficiency in diagnosis and repair of engines (diesel and gas) including the following;

Power train to include differentials, transmissionsclutches, drive shaftsElectrical system including starters and alternatorsHVAC systemsSteering systemsElectronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc.Brake systems including ABSSuspension systems

 

You have...

2-4 years practical experience Diesel maintenance and repair

High school diploma or equivalent required

Vocational/Technical or Certification preferred

Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components required

Proficiently in the use of shop tools, including computer diagnostic equipment •Valid driver license required

Basic computer skills to input maintenance log

Experienced using welding equipment

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

Able to work in various weather conditions

Available to work evenings and weekends as required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers and to communicate with customers and fellow employees. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stand; walk. The employee is also frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. In addition, the employee is required to of twist, turn, stretch, and bend on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly. The employee must be able to move in a relatively quick manner.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision and Ability to adjust focus.
