We have 50+ years of experience in the line striping business and are headquartered in Bridgeport, CT with additional locations in Rhode Island and Long Island. 5 COMPELLING REASONS TO JOIN OUR TEAM + $55,000 - $109,000 + A lot of growth opportunity + Fast-growing company + Be part of a team + Great benefits (Paid holidays, Paid Time Off, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Voluntary Vision, 401K with employer match) POSITION Position Mechanic Organization Safety Marking LLC Location Richmond, RI Website http://safetymarking.net/ SCHEDULE + Monday-Friday + 40+ hours + Overtime after 40 hours RESPONSIBILITIES Areas of specific responsibility will include the following. + Perform vehicle repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and will perform optimally. + Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections. + Diagnose and repair mechanical problems. + Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately (including hours and usage of parts). + Evaluate completed work, and if necessary, consult with supervisor to ensure machine/truck is functioning properly and meets safety standards. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name!) + Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor in an effective and timely manner. QUALIFICATIONS Important technical skills/functional abilities include: + Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred. Tanker/hazmat certification a plus + DOT med card required + Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred. + High School Diploma or GED. + Attention to detail. + Proficient computer skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. + Must be able to lift or move 40 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling. + Must have appropriate mechanic’s toolset. + One to two years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education and experience + Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, DPF and DEF systems as well as AC + Electrical and electronics + Good people skills and a positive attitude! + Isuzu, Peterbilt, Ford, International, Paccar and Cummins experience is a plus.
