Director, Business Integrity Partner (Compliance)

ScionHealth is recruiting for a Director, Business Integrity Partner, to join our Compliance team. This position may be remote however, candidates who live in the Louisville or Nashville metro area are preferred.

Job Summary

The Director, Business Integrity Partner (BIP) supports ScionHealth facilities in fostering a Speak Up culture, advising on ethics and compliance risks, and leading internal investigations with regulatory implications. The Director functions as the Ethics and Compliance program liaison for those in the field at both our Community and Specialty hospitals and is solution- and customer service-oriented in his or her interactions with the field. BIP team members collaboratively support local facility teams, Support Center stakeholders, and compliance resources with the goal of preventing, detecting, and correcting potential compliance risks.

Position Responsibilities

Leads moderate to high complexity compliance investigations of identified concerns and partners with support center and facility stakeholders to ensure appropriate remediation plans are implemented. Documents investigations contemporaneously and comprehensively and adheres to investigation plans as closely as possible.Guides facility personnel in fact finding, document collection, documentation, interviews, and remedial actions as driven by investigation plans and conclusions.Leads and supports facility-designated Ethics and Compliance Officers to foster a culture of compliance within the field and appropriately manage existing and emerging compliance risks unique to the assigned facilities. Leverages strong critical thinking and reasoning skills to partner with operations, legal, clinical quality, risk management, HR, and other relevant support center stakeholders to identify, assess, and remediate existing and emerging compliance risks. Collaborates with various compliance program functions to provide education, guidance, process documentation, monitoring tools, advice and consults to the appropriate Support Center and facility personnel. Advises compliance program and privacy teams on regulatory risks identified within the field to further enhance ScionHealth’s culture of compliance. Serve as compliance contact at the Support Center for assigned facilities. Gives effective and timely support to facilities regarding compliance matters. Refers matters that do not impact compliance to the appropriate internal resources.Exhibits a general understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, EMTALA, HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid billing requirements, etc.,).
