Scope:

Purchasing :$3 billion; Inventory Asset $500 million

Major Responsibilities:

Develops strategic concepts for setting inventory strategy, policy, and merchandise planning. Researches best practices and develops standard processes to ensure efficient and adequate inventory of products to satisfy marketing sales plan and inventory-turn objectives. Assists in the development of strategic long range planning for the department. In partnership with sales, prepares annual inventory management forecast to drive supply chain optimization. Oversees the analysis of inventory data for purpose of maintaining appropriate inventory control levels. Establishes and maintains on-going relationships with software solution providers and third party research providers. . Leads the reconciliation of yearly inventory processes. Interfaces and partners with Category Management, Product Management, Logistics and Suppliers as needed. Ensures costs are in line with budget/reforecast, ongoing compliance to Continuous Planning requirements. Manages people processes, budgets, performance management, compliance, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job. Skills/Knowledge Required:

Advanced knowledge of core inventory management principles is required. Strong analytical skills and ability to lead / participate in numerous cross-functional projects is required.    Manhattan DPR - Advanced skills. Experience with system testing and replenishment tools; Core demand planning and replenishment system administration and operation (forecasting / PO's). Intermediate/Advanced skill with MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required, with a focus on Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or a
related field.
