The Director, Product: Digital Growth & Merchandising at Pizza Hut is a strategic and highly visible leader within the Pizza Hut organization. As the ultimate owner of the digital customer experience across the website and app for new products and promotional launches, the director launches new and optimizes current experiences for customers on the PizzaHut.com website and mobile app. This critical leadership role is deeply engaged in strategic business objectives like new product launches, as well as the evolution of the Pizza Hut tech stack for menu, content, merchandising, and conversion rate optimization. 

 

This director is a critical leader in shaping the digital customer site experience, overseeing everything from menu and content strategy execution to new feature releases, campaign planning and execution. This role leads a team of product managers and product owners and partners deeply with cross functional teams across the enterprise to achieve business results and deliver best in class shopping experiences that grow incremental transactions and sales.  They rally cross-functional teams (product, design, marketing, engineering, ops, etc.) around strategic outcomes and support product managers and product owners in the discovery and definition of iterative MVPs and ongoing enhancements to deliver frictionless and engaging digital shopping experiences for Pizza Hut’s digital customers.

 

The ideal candidate brings experience optimizing ecommerce experiences across websites and mobile apps to drive sales growth, ideally in a large QSR or B2C ecommerce brand. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, a deep understanding of and passion for customer centric digital experiences, a data driven approach to decision making, and a determination to achieve key outcomes even amongst ambiguous and complex initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Lead and set vision for several technical teams (Digital Transaction Growth, Calendar/Go To Market, SEO, and Conversion Rate Optimization) to achieve business results and KPIs by optimizing the customers’ shopping journey across all devices and experiences. Advise and partner with various internal teams to improve processes, identify opportunities, and scale best practice and governance, driving continual assessment and improvement of the site’s strategic direction and execution. Drive digital transformation through continuous improvement, adoptions of new technology and digital disruption. Demonstrate curiosity, bias for action, and a growth mindset, fostering an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking Partner with UX to conduct user research, competitive monitoring, and deep data analysis to stay up to date on best-in-class ecommerce experiences and trends (within and outside of the QSR space)  Translate optimization results and findings into clear and actionable recommendations through compelling analysis, storytelling, and presentations to cross-functional teams and leadership Maintain focus on vision and outcomes, allowing others to make decisions without hierarchical approval. Collaborate with analytics, marketing, and UX teams to launch conversion rate optimizations that boost transactions and sales

Knowledge & Skills Required

Minimum 10-15 years of experience working within a digital/ecommerce product or technology organization, with ownership of and accountability for growth via digital product launches and experience optimizations. A deep understanding of online shopping behavior, ideally in QSR, and the ability and acumen to create seamless experiences digital shopping experiences that grow the business Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions and generate insights to drive growth Excellent communication and facilitation skills (oral, written, and listening) for a variety of audiences, including senior leadership in a highly matrixed organization.  Ability to understand, organize, and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences. Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and an ability to push yourself, your team, and others for excellence amongst quick deadlines and competing priorities Experience with Agile environments and iterative MVPs Ability to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in a timely manner. Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and to adapt to new situations as they arise  Demonstrated ability lead cross-functional teams and willingness to lean in where necessary to achieve aligned outcomes The ability to build relationships and trust quickly to add value via team ownership and cross functional partnership and influence
