Description

The Director of Marketing Automation is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing marketing automation strategies and initiatives to optimize marketing campaigns, personalization, lifecycle, improve customer engagement, and drive revenue growth. The Director of Marketing Automation leads a team of marketing automation specialists focused around and works closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and merchandising, to ensure the successful execution of marketing automation initiatives. Strong advocate of customer centricity, this role will create and manage a content roadmap that aligns with the customer journey throughout the business units and segments to support the overall CRM strategy.

 

This opportunity provides the option to work 1 day remote per week. 

Job Responsibilities Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing automation strategy aligned with the overall marketing objectives and business goals. Identify opportunities to leverage marketing automation tools and technologies to improve marketing efficiency, lead generation, and customer retention. Marketing Automation Implementation: Oversee the implementation and management of marketing automation systems, such as CRM, email marketing platforms, lead scoring tools, and customer journey mapping tools. Ensure the effective integration of these systems with other marketing and sales technologies. Campaign Management: Design, implement, and optimize marketing automation campaigns across various channels, including email marketing, social media, website, and mobile applications. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop personalized and targeted campaigns based on customer segmentation and behavior. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize marketing automation platforms and analytics tools to analyze campaign performance, track key metrics, and generate actionable insights. Present reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and growth opportunities. Team Leadership: Manage a team of marketing automation specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Set clear objectives, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture. Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging trends, best practices, and technological advancements in marketing automation. Recommend and implement new tools, methodologies, and strategies to enhance marketing automation capabilities and drive competitive advantage Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in marketing automation, digital marketing, or related roles, with a track record of successful strategy development and execution. The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience driving customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value through effective CRM strategies and initiatives Proven experience in customer relationship management, preferably in both B2C and B2B verticals Strong understanding of segmentation strategies and data-driven marketing approaches Experience collaborating with content teams to produce compelling and conversion-focused content Proficiency in developing and executing email and notification campaigns Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experience partnering leaders for testing initiatives Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams towards achieving CRM goals Familiarity with HTML emails and the ability to provide quality assurance and setup support Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams Ability to Travel as needed, up to 15%, could include Canada and Mexico Benefits Competitive compensation 401k plan with a company match.
