Director of Emergency Services @ Gadsden Regional Medical Center

An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Director of Emergency Services at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL.

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is a 346-bed acute care hospital with inpatient and outpatient care. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and certified in hip and knee replacements. We have recognized programs in cardiology, pulmonology, sleep medicine and stroke services.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Director will be responsible for planning and management of the patient care services of the Emergency Department (ED).  To provide leadership in the practice of nursing, emphasizing quality patient care, education, and research.  To assist in coordination between administration and patient care activities consistent with Gadsden Regional Medical Center and Community Health Systems’ mission and goal statements.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree and/or appropriate certification preferred or progressive experience with school enrollment in a bachelor's degree program.

Experience:

Two years of experience in a hospital ER setting and minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:

Current Alabama or Compact State registered nurse license required.  BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross).  ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of assignment to the Emergency Department Director, if not current upon hire.
