Summary:
The Director, Human Resources, Physician Enterprise, is responsible for planning and directing all HR operations for all Catholic Health Medical Practices and Trinity Medical Practices within the Catholic Health Physician Enterprise. Responsible for administering HR policies and programs covering all areas of human resources services. The position is responsible for providing supervision to the Human Resource staff as it relates to customer service, labor and employee relations, and daily operations of the Catholic Health and Trinity Medical Practice groups. The Director, Human Resources, Physician Enterprise participates as a strategic and collaborative member of the Human Resources leadership team. The Director provides guidance to all associates, managers and leadership within Physician Enterprise in the functional areas of recruitment, wage compensation, personnel policies, welfare benefit programs, retirement benefits, HRIS systems, HR performance metrics and organizational changes including job descriptions and departmental restructures.
The Director, Physician Enterprise is responsible for providing HR leadership and support to Physician Enterprise including maintaining a presence in the various practice offices across WNY; the creation, standardization, education and enforcement of policies and procedures; support and collaboration with corporate benefits and pension of the varying and complex benefit plan offerings, 403b and 457 plans, provisions and requirements. Under the direction of the Vice President, Human Resources implements, and maintains a consistent salary program and structure.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant course of study required Master degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant course of study strongly preferredCertification as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Certification in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive work experience in human resources with a minimum of five (5) of work experience at a managerial levelMinimum of three (3) years of experience in physician/clinic practice groups strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Strong knowledge and expertise in the functional areas of recruitment, wage compensation, personnel policies, welfare benefit programs, retirement benefits, HRIS systems, HR performance metrics and HR policies and proceduresExcellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skillsCurrent knowledge of human resource management, employment and labor law and regulations, with an emphasis on healthcare industry specific requirementsStrong strategic planning, analytical and organization skillsExcellent leadership, facilitation and mediation skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and work in a collaborative team environmentStrong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access software applicationsKnowledge of Lawson and Kronos a plus
