Position Purpose:

The Information Systems Director will be responsible to direct the implementation, operation, maintenance, staffing and performance of the primary and ancillary computer based information systems and the technical resources applied to this effort of North Okaloosa Medical Center.  Provides education, and related hardware and software support for the Hospital’s Information Systems.  Supports the Hospital’s LAN/WAN hardware, security, software, and resources to provide the most optimum stability and data integrity.

Ensures system needs for the organization are met, including maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting problems.   This includes hardware and software attached or running on the AS400 environment.  Works with the administrative team member and other directors to implement hardware and software improvements/upgrades.  Responsible for organization strategic plan and budgets for Information Technology and Systems at North Okaloosa Medical Center, including identification of needs, system evaluations, implementation, troubleshooting, and integration of products.  Ensures organization meets regulatory reporting requirements for patient charge capture, billing, payments, and adjustments in accordance with generally accepted accounting policies, hospital procedures and State regulatory reporting.  Responsible for maintaining documentation supporting hardware inventory and repair.

Reports directly to the Market/Regional CIO, with the hospital CFO as secondary.
