Director of Graduate Medical Education Job Locations US-NY-Middletown | US-NY-New York ID 2021-7744 College TUNY - College of Osteopathic Medicine Position Type Full-Time Schedule Shift 9:00am - 5:30pm Hours Per Week 36.5 Travel 25% Category Academic/Program Support FLSA Status Exempt Overview The Director for Graduate Medical Education (GME) will work closely with and report to the Associate Dean of GME. The Director will assist the Associate Dean to accomplish mutual goals for excellence in GME. Responsibilities In collaboration with the Associate Dean of GME, explores opportunities to support the continuum of osteopathic education in both undergraduate and graduate medical education (GME), as well as in continuing medical education (for all GME faculty) at clinical affiliates or other clinical institutionsGather data, develop reports, and monitor residency assignments to support the development and review of GME programmingManagement of GME Annual Review Process for the Institution and its programsDevelop and implement GME “Best Practice” resourcesAssist the Associate Dean with the development, implementation, and assessment of programs and services structured to achieve high-quality outcomes for residency and fellowship programsAssist the Associate Dean with the design and implementation of various professional development activities for faculty and staff to support the leaders of the ACGME-accredited, GME programs thereby assisting them in meeting their goals as well as internal and external benchmarks for excellenceAssist the Associate Dean with GME expansionAssist in the development of successful wellbeing programs for the GME traineesDevelop a professional development plan for junior faculty engaged in GME program leadershipCollaborate with other educational affairs units to enhance and promote mutual advantages across the continuum of medical educationFurther duties as assigned Qualifications DegreesMaster's Degree

Experience with graduate medical education programs

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

Travel to clinical sites on a regular basisStrong interpersonal skills enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to the growth.Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Ability to develop and maintain evaluation and development procedures.Knowledge and understanding of the academic departments and their individual courses offered.Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.Organizational skills.Ability to work on various multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
