Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships." Enterprise Charter School is seeking a Director of Literacy and Social Studies for the 2023/2024 school year. The Director of Literacy and Social Studies directs, administers, and coordinates the literacy and social studies instruction for K through 8th grade. In addition, the Director works with teachers to support best practices in using data, providing analysis of grade-level trends in instruction, and using both student performance and instructional trend data to make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need. The Director works directly with teachers and other teaching staff supporting them instructionally through coaching and providing professional development. Expertise in i-Ready preferred + Extensive experience in selection and implementation of curriculum in ELA and Social Studies + Skills in analyzing and using data to make instructional and behavioral decisions + Bachelor's Degree required, Master's and/or Doctoral Degree(s) preferred Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System.
