Director of Logistics

Objective:

The primary focus of this role is to continuously strive for improvements through KPI development/management, logistics network design and 3PL management to deliver quality products to our customer on time

Job Responsibilities:

Establish logistics strategy to support the overall business objectives which includes inbound & outbound forecasting, warehouse space projection, warehouse network design, KPI setup and cost/budget management. Forecasts inbound/outbound volume to plan for workforce, equipment, and warehouse space. Design optimal warehouse network with the least cost to fulfill +5 years future growth/demand through thorough space simulations and market study. Develop KPI to monitor and track 3PL performance. This includes safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory. Measure monthly logistics performance and overall trend against the target. Report monthly overall logistics cost trend and summarize implications. Logistics cost accounting/accrual, properly allocate logistics expense by functions/operations and suggest new solutions to reduce cost of valuable operations. Develop and maintain continuous improvement initiatives focused on maximizing warehouse utilization, improving service to our customers, and reducing operational costs. Driving process improvement under lean aspects in all warehouse locations (own/3PL) Implement strategies to continuously improve 3PL performance and enhance the overall logistics process. Monitor monthly logistics performance, analyzing trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Report on the overall logistics cost trend, highlighting implications and suggesting appropriate actions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Preferably Supply Chain, Operations Management). Worked extensively in a global, matrix organization. Extensive depth of knowledge of Logistics & Supply Chain (track record on warehouse shopfloor management) Solid SAP Experience (preferable: SAP S4/H work experience in warehouse management) 10+ years of relevant corporate work experience. Proficient, high-level skills in Microsoft Power Point and Excel. Knowledge of logistics network design and capacity planning. Strong analytical skills, collaborative problem-solver, effective communications. Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

Salary Range: $130000.00 - $160000.00 per year contingent upon experience
