Director of Nursing, RN

*This is a 64 unit standalone Memory Care. The ideal candidate will have senior living, long term or SNF experience.
*Annual salary for this position is $90000 - $110000 / year, depending on experience.

The Director of Nursing, LPN / RN will oversee operations of the Care team. Assists and supports the translation of the nursing philosophy of the community into nursing practice by participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care delivery system. The Director will ensure resident needs are being met by coordinating and monitoring measures, restorative services, services and related support services allowing for respect and dignity of the person.

The Director of Nursing, LPN / RN will:

Ensure residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes their individual needs and rights. Monitor compliance in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines. Supervise Care team, evaluating skill and performance. Provide coaching and training on an on-going basis to ensure team members are providing an elevated care experience for residents, in accordance with State, Federal and Artis guidelines.  Take an active role in resident assessments, development of service plans, and daily care. Inform physicians and care providers of any changes in resident’s needs. Meet regularly with support services, social services, and/or resident to evaluate service needs. Oversee Care team’s administration of medication and/or treatment to residents in accordance with physician orders.  Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes in physical, mental, or behavioral conditions. Provide emotional support, physical comfort and ensure ongoing safety of residents.  Actively participate in departmental team member recruiting and retention.  Operate and maintain the Care department while adhering to budgetary guidelines. Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure delivery of resident related services. Assist in the marketing of the community by touring and participating in public relation events; establishing relationships with potential resident referral sources.  Assist with resident move-ins and relocations, help residents acclimate to their new surroundings and community personnel. Assumes management responsibilities in the Executive Director’s absence. Participate in the management of community adherence to legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation codes. Have a thorough understanding of all emergency plans. Performs other duties as required. 

Education Requirements:

Must possess current LPN / RN designation as granted by State Board of Nursing. Fulfill and maintain continuing education credits as required by state. Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
