The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Transportation oversees the operations of the Transportation Department and Dispatch System for the Orlando campus. Coordinates the development of both short and long term strategic plans for operational improvements. The director collaborates with the Orlando campus leadership team to ensure strategic alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision and goals; and the departments are contributing in a positive manner to the patient experience. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Oversees Transport and Dispatching departments for the Orlando campus. Develops and leads the strategic initiatives throughout each department.

Coordinates the development of both short and long range plans for operational improvements.

Collaborates with the Orlando campus leadership team to ensure strategic alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision and goals; and the departments are contributing in a positive manner to the patient experience.

Collaborates closely with Nursing and other ancillary departments to ensure timely and effective turnaround times.

Reviews monthly operating budget and takes appropriate action as necessary.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field

Education Preferred:

Master’s degree in business, healthcare or related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Minimum of five (5) years of leadership and departmental operations experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within an acute care hospital setting

Experience Preferred:

Minimum seven years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Certified Patient Transport Operations Manager (CPTOM) through National Association of Healthcare Transport Management (NAHTM)

Certified Patient Transport Executive (CPTE) through National Association of Healthcare Transport Management (NAHTM)
