The Dispatcher job in Bangor, Maine is responsible for dispatching routes and buses, along with maintaining attendance logs of drivers. You’ll have a solid understanding of how to coordinate, monitor and organize maintenance of the fleet while also operating two-way radios and telephones. In this position, you may also assist with interviews, management and clerical duties as needed. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays required. 

 

Dispatcher Qualifications: 

High School Graduate or equivalent

Proficient in Excel, and basic knowledge of computer systems 

Background, driving check (DOT)

Physical and drug screening

Ability to work while sitting for long periods of time

Ability to communicate well written and verbally 

Strong organizational skills

Ability to sit for 8+ hours daily

Ability to drive, walk, crouch and kneel, as well as push and pull

Ability to be reliable and dependable 

 

Required Skills: 

Multi-line phone system experience 

Office Experience 

Customer Service Experience

Dispatcher Details: 

Schedule: Monday 11am-730pm and Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm (some weekends and holidays)

Pay Rate: $21.51-$28.91

Start Date: ASAP
