E-Commerce Commercial Strategy Manager-Hybrid

Primary Purpose

The Senior Manager of Commercial Etail will report to the Director of Customer Development to lead our online retail operations, drive revenue growth through digital channels, and develop effective go-to-market strategies for our assigned customer channels and product categories. This role will involve a deep understanding of the etail market trends and customer needs in developing an effective strategy to drive profitable growth. The ideal candidate should also possess experience and expertise in managing both 1P (First Party) and 3P (Third Party) Marketplaces. This includes a deep understanding of the intricacies and nuances associated with selling products on these platforms. This position will have direct reports, and once the strategy is developed, it will engage with the appropriate stakeholders to drive the strategy's success. This position will be responsible for enhancing our commercial etail presence, optimizing the online shopping experience, increasing incremental online sales, and driving overall e-commerce business objectives.

Major Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial etail strategy aligned with business goals to drive revenue growth. Lead a team of ecommerce professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful execution of initiatives in the digital retail space. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product management, IT, vendors, suppliers, and operations to align etail strategies with overall business objectives. Stay updated on industry trends in commercial etail including emerging technologies or platforms that can enhance our customer's online presence. Establish effective working relationships with key vendors to understand their commercial strategies Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement in site performance or customer journey flow, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization. Oversee website design enhancements that improve user experience (UX) while maximizing conversion rates. Identify market trends and competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making for pricing strategies, product assortment optimization, promotions, and customer targeting. Develop and execute customer content syndication for custom systems. Gather customer channel market intelligence Provide recommendations on stocking strategy based on channel/customer needs Provide market price guidance Facilitate new vendor/category onboarding via training/education for sales Participate in JBPs & vendor meetings as needed Drive Own Brand penetration Manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job. Skills/Knowledge Required

Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth through commercial etail channels within a similar senior management role. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles including SEO/SEM techniques as well as email marketing campaigns specific to the ecommerce landscape. Extensive knowledge of 1P and 3P Marketplace operations, including familiarity with their respective seller portals, policies, and best practices. Proficient in utilizing web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to analyze data trends and make informed decisions based on insights gained from data analysis. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving common goals while fostering collaboration across departments within an ecommerce environment. Strong financial acumen and ability to develop and execute strategies. Expertise in sales management, customer-centric orientation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft tools. Strong analytical ability with a process-driven perspective and understanding of distribution and pricing strategies. Ability to manage projects effectively, meet deadlines, and multitask efficiently.

Education and Experience

10 years of successful selling and/or merchandising experience. 5 years of management experience Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
