This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Civil Engineer for our Boston, MA office. The following location will also be considered: Worcester, MA. Be involved in projects with our New England Civil Transportation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
Support a variety of engineering tasks on federal, state, regional, and local transportation improvement and development projects with a goal to develop technical and communications skills. Learn basic and advanced principles of Roadway Engineering, including roadway design programs, construction plan production, and 3D modeling and design. Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis. Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation. Your Impact Complete training on assigned tasks. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree. 0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience. Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills. Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products. The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.Preferred Qualifications:
Recent graduate or May 2024 graduate of an accredited Civil Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program. The successful candidate will have 0-3 years of internship experience in Civil Engineering. Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
