**Overview** We have a challenging and highly rewarding opportunity for a motivated **Electrical Engineer** to help grow our expanding **MEP** team in our **Tampa** office. **Responsibilities** This position provides an opportunity to work on a variety of building, aviation, transportation, and mission-critical projects that will ensure your success and growth in your career. Additionally, you will contribute to the design of major projects from various markets locally and around the country. + Design of electrical systems including low and medium voltage power distribution, stand-by generation, interior/exterior lighting for buildings, local area IT networks, access control, security, and fire alarm systems + Participate on project teams in an active production role + Preparation of project specifications + Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates + Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines + Coordination and verification of as-built drawings + Perform quality work that promotes client retention + Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical floor plans, equipment schematic diagrams, equipment block diagrams, equipment load calculations, and connection diagrams **Qualifications** + 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus) + Professional Engineer license preferred + Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes + Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD) + Building Information Modeling (BIM – Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus + Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience + Superior verbal and written communication skills + The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively + The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment Share this job with a friend (https://careers-kimley-horn.icims.com/jobs/12498/electrical-engineer/job?mode=apply&apply=yes&in\_iframe=1&hashed=-1834442239) Share on social media PleaseCLICK HERE (https://www.kimley-horn.com/careers/benefits/at-a-glance/) to learn more about the potential Benefits you may be eligible to receive with this role.
