Electrical Engineering Co-op (Fall 2024 - August Start)

What to Expect in our Co-op Program:
Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Emerson co-ops are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders. There is the potential to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of ways by exploring opportunities associated with your major and rotating through multiple departments.
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Conduct tests using various types of lab equipment. Build circuit board prototypes using through-hole and surface mount technologies. Create schematics and PCB layout used to design embedded circuit boards on CAD. Learn “C” programming of microcontrollers.  Design, build, and test complete circuit boards.
  Who You Are: You engage frontline employees for input and evaluate their best ideas.  You utilize analytical tools to help explore potential scenarios.  You know to prepare for unexpected outcomes and try different solutions. 
  For This Role, You Will Need: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field Ability to work full-time during the scheduled semester Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided

Flexible Work Schedule
This role has the flexibility of a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and efficiency as we serve the needs of our customers.

About our Location
 

We’re not limited by geographic location. As part of the Professional Tools team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in either Rockford, Illinois or Elyria, Ohio, depending on the position. Both locations offer the charm of a small town with the conveniences of a city.

Located in Northeast Ohio about 30 miles from Cleveland, Elyria offers a diverse range of outdoor recreational activities, including boating, fishing, hiking and access to world-class Metroparks and the Lake Erie Shores & Islands.
