Electrical QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join our team on a high-profile data centre project. This role is critical in ensuring that all electrical systems meet quality standards and project specifications. The successful candidate will oversee and support all QA/QC activities throughout the construction and commissioning phases, with a strong focus on documentation review, procedural compliance, and coordination with engineering and commissioning teams.

Role & Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control:

Inspect and verify the installation of electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, lighting, cable containment, and grounding. Ensure compliance with design specifications, project standards, local codes, and international regulations. Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions Testing & Commissioning Oversight: Review and validate test plans and procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Monitor and witness testing activities to ensure execution aligns with approved procedures. Verify test records and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation, checklists, and test records. Review contractor and supplier submittals including inspection and test reports. Prepare and submit detailed quality reports and punch lists.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with electrical engineers, site supervisors, and commissioning leads to align quality objectives with construction and startup timelines. Participate in quality audits and project review meetings. Provide input into Lessons Learned and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in electrical systems, preferably on data centre or large-scale industrial/commercial projects. Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO). Experience with FAT/SAT and commissioning protocols. Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Effective communicator and team collaborator.
