Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Home& Beauty; Food and Beverage; Industry & Agriculture; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels markets.  All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and feed/food safety requirements in the facility, and following procedures per instruction of management.

Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for working with and under the direction of the Engineering team to oversee projects, assist with process optimization, instruction, and supervision of contractors, and working closely with different team members to learn more about the company.

The following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties. It is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed and in addition, management may modify this job description as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provide instruction and supervision to contractors in the execution of work within the plant.

•Develop/cultivate a working relationship with other plant employees in the engineering,maintenance and operations department.

•Assist in defining project scopes and sequences of work for projects.

•Assist in technical analysis of electrical, process, mechanical and utility system for efficiencyevaluations, expansions and upgrades.

•Give technical presentations on equipment within the plant detailing the operation and purpose ofthe equipment and processes.

•Assist in updating process flow diagrams as required.

•Assist with commissioning of new equipment and training for operations and maintenance.

•Perform field measurement surveys for thickness of metal tanks and process pipes. Developrepair and or replacement plans to support continued operations.

•Process fluid and water pressure trouble shooting. Perform pipe and pump surveys anddetermine hydraulic profile and trouble spots.

•PI&D updating. Student should have/develop a familiarity with electrical and Instrumentation.

•Student should have/develop an understanding of all regulatory and technical standardsgoverning an industrial facility.

•Assist with drafting and drawing updates as required.

Position Requirements:

•Engineering disciplines accepted; Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial andManufacturing.

•Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

•Industrial / Processing plant experience preferred

•Team player

•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

•Ability to handle multiple tasks

•Adept at learning new processes

•Well versed in AutoCad from AutoDesk.

•Microsoft office including outlook, word and excel.

•Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

•Must be able to work in cold to hot temperatures; work around dust, fumes, and/or moderate toloud noises; works inside and/or outside;

•Able to lift, pull, carry, and pick-up average to heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds;

•Able to climb stairs and ladders; walk on paved and unpaved surfaces; sit at a desk and operatea computer and keyboard; visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear, speak,and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to operatea telephone; lift horizontally and vertically, bend, stoop, stand, and reach;

•Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require followingbasic safety precautions.
