BL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work with our engineering group in our growing, Melville, New York Office. This group delivers project development, engineering, permitting, and construction administration services in the retail/commercial, energy, and public infrastructure markets. Project managers are responsible for setting overall project strategy, oversight of project work prepared by project engineers, overseeing the delivery process and coordination with other discipline(s) internal or external to BL Companies. and management of program controls. 

This position requires retail, commercial and residential land development, energy, or public infrastructure experience. Client and government agency interactions and excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Professional Engineers License is required.

Responsibilities Include:

Determine project feasibility Determine and guide overall project direction: including methodology, project strategy as well as drive and oversee all technical and design aspects of project Maintain project quality and design standards for basic to moderately complex projects that are primarily within a single discipline Manage resources and productivity Develop and manage client relationships Establish proposals/contracts/ASA’s including scope, fee and schedule Ensure the collection of payment occurs with respect to the company’s guidelines Determine, enforce and meet deadline Meet or exceed the profitability targets set for the project. Build strong client relationship and presenting at public meetings are essential to this position

Required Experience:

PE License 5+ years experience in Project Management Supervision of full-time staff Business development experience is preferred
