Engineering Technician III - Position Description

ICI Services is looking for a motivated individual to support Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Port Hueneme, CA. We are a small employee-owned defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Services, and Technical Services to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We need an Engineering Technician III ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. 

Security Clearance:

Applicants must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense SECRET Clearance.

Responsibilities:

Perform assignments involving planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope. Perform assignments as a portion of a larger and more diverse project, Work with personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, Review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of junior personnel. Using guidelines provided, develop designs for equipment such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry. Analyze technical data. Check and analyze drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design Plan or assist in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance. Conduct tests using all types of instruments; analyze and evaluate test results and prepare reports on findings and recommendations. Constructs component subunits or simple models or adapts standard equipment May trouble shoot and correct malfunctions.

  Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years related experience in Hull, Mechanical or Electrical (HM&E) systems required. Experience with US Navy or Military Sealift Command Deck and Replenishment machinery a significant plus. Experience with Machinery control systems operation or maintenance a plus.

  Educational Requirements:

High School diploma or GED Certificate.  Technical school diploma or certification a plus
