Enterprise System Architect
JRC is actively recruiting for a talented and experienced Enterprise System Architect to join our team. This critical role will focus on the development and integration of Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise IT systems and will be instrumental in designing and implementing complex systems that meet the strategic objectives of our defense initiatives. As the Enterprise System Architect, you will... Lead the architecture and design of enterprise IT systems, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and roadmaps, guiding the integration, testing, and deployment of new systems and technologies. Assess current IT infrastructure and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Provide expert guidance on the selection of IT solutions, including hardware, software, and services, to meet business and operational needs. Ensure system security and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards and policies. Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in enterprise IT and defense sectors, recommending strategic investments and initiatives. Facilitate training and development programs for IT staff to enhance their skills in enterprise system design and management. What you bring to the table... A minimum of 6+ years of experience in the development and integration of enterprise IT systems, with a strong preference for experience in Department of Defense projects. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF). Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and DoD security regulations. Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and implementing scalable, high-availability systems. Proficiency in the use of architectural modeling tools and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
