ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Tampa, Florida office is seeking a Land Development Site/Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development planning and design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.

 

Our Tampa Land Development group focuses on site development, stormwater management, utility design, permitting and construction oversight for a wide range of projects. Our past and present clients include commercial, office, residential, industrial and hospitality developers; higher education and healthcare institutional entities; and state and local government agencies.

 

Responsibilities

Work within a team of professionals under an experienced Engineer-of-Record assisting to develop site civil engineering plans, calculations, and specifications for diverse land development projects throughout the State of FloridaAssist in the preparation of permitting documentsPreparation and/or reviewing design criteria, drawings, and specificationsProvide construction observation services for project certification

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivatedAttention to detailAbility to think criticallyTeam oriented with a strong capability to work independently

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related field0+ year of experienceEngineer Intern (EI) certification preferred, specifically in FloridaSome AutoCAD experience, preferably in Civil 3DExperience or some familiarity with typical stormwater and utility modeling software preferred
