TITLE:   Entry Level Controls Specialist     

DEPARTMENT:  Industrial/OEM Sales            

REPORTS TO:  VP of Sales 

TERRITORY: Buffalo, Syracuse, Auburn, Rochester, Albany

                                        

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Support the promotion and sales activities for specifically assigned products from the Power-Flo Technologies line card.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gain knowledge of PFT Products and services for which the position is responsibleCustomer sales activities to include product demonstrations, competitive cross references, quotations, set up and administer pricing contracts, input to PFT for customer inventory requirements. Gain basic knowledge of PFT vendor’s product offerings to be able to identify additional sales opportunitiesWeekly Sales Call Reporting and Sales Call PlanningWork with PFT Account Managers to support targeting and closing customers and project opportunitiesEstablish and maintain a frequency of sales calls in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and the Southern Tier, with the assigned Account Manager.  Communicate the schedule to the Account Managers in those territories for their input and participation as necessaryCultivate strong business relationships with all PFT vendor salespeople for assistance in product sales efforts and sales growthDevelop contact database for the purpose of growing a strong and accurate mailing list for further marketing by PFTAttend vendor product training classes as required by PFT sales management and/or PFT vendor programsUtilization of PFT and Vendor resources for account penetration and sales growthOccasional overnight travel is required (territory covers between Buffalo and Albany)

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

2- or 4-Year College Degree, Technical or EngineeringBusiness to Business sales experience preferredKnowledge and use of a PC 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to Operate a Motor VehicleValid and Clean NYS Driver’s License 

Hourly Rate Range: $19 - $24 per hour
