Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Environmental Scientist 2, we'll count on you to

Collect project-related data, which may include the following: research for water quality related issues, surveys for listed species, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, field investigations for wetlands, land use, etc.Assimilate and manage data.Prepare constraints mapping.Define the level of environmental analysis required.Conduct environmental impact assessments.Perform complex assignments, making independent decisions on problems and methods.Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings.Perform presentation to regulatory agencies.Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition and compliance.Write Water Quality StudiesWrite Natural Environment Studies or Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports Work independently on medium-size projects or assist more-senior scientists on larger projects.Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or closely related field5 years technical and/or field experience preparing environmental documents.Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)Proficient with GISStrong environmental writing and communication skillsStrong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel, and SharePoint or equivalent database

The expected compensation range for this position is $82,863.00 - $118,375.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
