Position: Environmental Senior Project Manager – Albany, NY

Terracon works on a diverse set of projects including environmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESAs); comprehensive site characterization and risk assessments; remedial design, installation, and O&M; environmental planning; and asbestos & industrial hygiene (IH) projects. We are a multi-discipline solution provider including geotechnical and materials services. Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of large scale and complex projectsWork with client or National Account Manager (NAM) to define project scope, schedule, and budgetLead interactions with client and stakeholders to ensure their goals are being considered in execution of the workDesign, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing a projectLead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with approved safety planResolve operational problems and minimize delaysIdentify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the projectPrepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractorsEstimate costs, resources, and time required to completePrepare forecasts for expenditures; manage scope and schedule to meet budgetMonitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are metPartner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the projectConduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project teamCoach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problemsCoordinates with Authorized Project Review (APR) to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for quality reviewsCoordinates with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing, and collectionsDevelop understanding and be aware of project-related risk; be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company; be familiar with company risk policiesLead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines; responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices; promotes pre-task planning for all projectsPromote continuous quality monitoring and improvement of projects; monitor quality standards and practices; engage APRs on projects at their onsetRequirements:BS/BA degree in technical discipline practiced by the Firm including Engineering, Geology, or Environmental ScienceMinimum of 10 years relevant professional experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years’ related experiencePE or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managedValid driver’s license with acceptable violation historyPreferred Certification:Project Management Professional (PMP) certification#LI-TM1

The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
$87800 - $136100 annually
