ESM - Student Living Ctr Overnight Office Asst
GENERAL PURPOSE: Working independently, monitor front entrance to Student Living Center (SLC). Manage access to SLC. The Overnight Office Assistant is highly visible and extremely important to the functioning of the SLC. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Customer Service + Check IDs of all people entering building. + Ascertain Student Living Center residents and visitor needs, and direct them accordingly. + Answer phones and provide information. Monitoring + Monitor activity in SLC lobby. + Determine whether person is resident or legitimate visitor of SLC, to ensure safety of SLC residents. + Report safety and security problems to Eastman Public Safety. Reporting + Keep log of activity throughout shift. + Anticipate potential problems, report to Public Safety. + Report activity and incidents of each shift to Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Policy Enforcement + Enforce and adhere to SLC policies. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Required:** + High school education and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
