PCSI is looking for a Planner/Estimator in Ft. Knox, Kentucky! Performs receiving functions of the contract. This position will report to the PWO Estimator Manager and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do as Planner/Estimator:

Assists in planning electrical and electrical component installation, exterior utility systems, carpentry and structural work, concrete, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and fire control systems. Coordinate work with government employees, subcontractors, and others from inception of bidding to pre-constructions walk-through to project closeout. Performs inspections and quality assurance tasks on buildings both historic and non-historic. Research materials, estimate labor costs, and vendors needed based on project needs. Use knowledge and experience to make recommendations for alternative materials, labor and vendors. Routinely work with customers and co-workers to develop creative approaches to solving maintenance and construction problems. Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

High school diploma or GED. Possess demonstrated knowledge of computer software applications to include MS Office Suite. Planner/Estimator Level I must have at least one year of recent/relevant experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment with the ability to perform the assigned duties. Planner/Estimator Level II At least two years of recent/relevant experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment with the ability to perform the assigned duties. Planner/Estimator Level III At least four years of recent/relevant experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment with the ability to perform the assigned duties. Planner/Estimator Level IV At least six years of recent/relevant experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment with the ability to perform the assigned duties. Planner/Estimator Level V will have at least eight years of recent/relevant experience in a facility and/or utility maintenance environment with the ability to perform the assigned duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This is primarily a sedentary position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard. Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc.) and a personal computer. Hearing and speech sufficient to verbally communicate in person and on the telephone. Mobility to frequently alternate between sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities. Ability to work as a team member Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision Must be able to work in a variety of different weather conditions. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check. Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language. Requires working knowledge of related equipment. Must possess analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and develop statistical reports, drawings, and calculations.

Other Requirements:

Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening. Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record. If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
