**Military Exercise Planner** **Position Overview:** Stillwater Government Services is adding a skilled Military Exercise Planner to our team in Ft Wainwright, Alaska! The ideal candidate will serve as a functional expert in the planning, conceptualization, and execution of joint and combined military exercises and mission rehearsals. This role requires a proactive professional with advanced knowledge in military training and doctrine development, capable of collaborating with diverse teams to deliver comprehensive exercise solutions. As an Exercise Planner on our Stillwater team, you will assist with the planning, coordination and execution of collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Division. **Key Responsibilities:** + Exercise Planning and Conceptualization: Serve as the primary expert in designing and planning joint and combined military exercises. Collaborate closely with training audience representatives, Desk Officers, and other event planners to ensure the effective development and execution of exercise scenarios. + Consulting and Expertise: Provide consulting expertise to military or defense clients, assisting in the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine to ensure alignment with operational goals. + Exercise Product Delivery: Produce high-quality exercise deliverables, including Scenario, Road-to-Crisis (RTC), Adversary Campaign Plan, Operational Environment (OE) Overview, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), and other related products. Ensure these deliverables evolve incrementally throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). + Tool Proficiency: Maintain expertise in the operation of relevant exercise training and management tools such as Modeling & Simulation (M&S), Joint Training Tools (JTT), and Joint Training Information Management System/Joint Master Scenario Event List (JTIMS/JMSEL). + Coordination and Adjustments: Coordinate and adjust the suspense dates of exercise deliverables based on the needs and abilities to develop products effectively. Participate in exercise planning conferences, In-Progress Reviews, and coordination meetings as required. + Execution Support: Serve as a functional cell member during the execution of joint training events globally. Assist unit leadership in planning collective training that meets their objectives and identify any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.). Provide mentorship or observer/controller support as requested. + After Action Reviews (AARs): Gather observations based on unit actions during training events and provide comprehensive input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs). **Required Qualifications:** + 8-10 years of relevant experience. + Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs. + Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills. + Proficiency in Military Command Information System (MCIS). + Experience with Joint operations and operational-strategic level military force planning and operations. + An active SECRET level clearance. + Bachelor’s degree. **Desired Qualifications:** + Experience in MSEL development. + Military Education Level IV (MEL IV) or equivalent level schooling. + Prior experience as a platform instructor in a Professional Military Education (PME) or training environment. **Stillwater is an Equal Opportunity Employer** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, or any other protected class.
